Understanding the different types of Sin

Sins are not all the same. The Qur’an uses different terms for sins, each carrying a unique meaning and consequence. There is a difference between the rights of Allah and the rights of people. While Allah may forgive sins against Him through sincere repentance, wrongs committed against others require restitution and forgiveness.
