The Turner of Hearts

by Arshad Gamiet
“Never take your faith for granted! Your heart and my heart is a fragile thing. It can turn from good to bad and from bad to good in an instant! The only way that you and I can ensure that our hearts are always close to Allah is by our constant, loving remembrance of Allah: Dhikrullāh…”

Saving Planet Earth

“Last week’s Climate Conference (COP27) in Egypt involved a lot of talk, but once again it made very little progress. After many years of conferences like this one, the rich nations who consume the most and pollute the most, are still unwilling to pay their fair share to put things right. Never repeat your sins intentionally. Show real remorse. Stop sinning. Be determined not to slip backwards. Do good deeds instead, and sincerely turn towards Allah’s obedience.

Hijra

Brothers and sisters, some of us may have come here to study or to advance our professions and to increase our personal wealth; others may have come to find a refuge from political violence and oppression. These are perfectly good reasons for migration. But remember that he best migration, the real Hijra for us is to undertake the journey from what we are now to what Allah wants us to become…

Eidul Adha khutbah in Egham, UK

By Essam Mahgoub

Be sincere. Do as you say and say as you do. Let there be no contradiction between your words and your actions. Be rational and logical, but Allah’s explicit commands come first. Whatever Allah has forbidden (harām) overrules any rational or logical debates. Allah always knows best, and we may only discover that Divine wisdom in the fulness of time…
