Beware of your inward state!

By Arshad Gamiet
“Prophet Muhammad said that whenever people are studying, seeking knowledge for Allah’s sake, then Allah’s angels are there, surrounding them with their wings. You and I cannot see the angels but they are certainly here, protecting us right now. In the same way, we cannot see the devils, the jinn, the subtle beings that try to mislead us from the Straight Path, the Sirat al mustaqeem. But they are there, nonetheless, waiting in ambush to entrap us!”

Blessings of the Mubarak Months

By Sheikh Abdul Hamid Lachporia
” What is remarkable about the Most Holy and Noble Qur’an is that it deals with human transactions in such a way as to give them a Divine flavour and a moral touch. It makes the presence of Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala felt in every transaction and acknowledges Him as the first source of guidance and the ultimate goal of all our transactions. It is humanity’s spiritual guide, his system of law, his code of ethics, and, above all, his way of life.”

Worship with Understanding

“It’s not our fault if we don’t know Arabic. But it is our fault if we don’t care to learn at least the meaning of our Arabic prayers in our own language…”

Learning to Trust Allah

By Arshad Gamiet
“We live in uncertain times. This week the mega-business Carillion went into liquidation. Many jobs and livelihoods will be lost. How should we behave when we lose our job or face a calamity? Do we panic? Do we react in a desperate or unethical way? Or do we take a deep breath and trust Allah to deliver us safely to a better future?”

Be like Muhammad! sws

By Nuradeen Ahmad
“Prophet Muhammad sws was not just a man of theory. He was a man of action. All the wisdom that we find in the Holy Quran and Hadith is only of value in theory until we learn it, love it and live it.  We Muslims must make it work, as our Prophet did. Islam must become a living reality in our lives, in our personal behaviour, in our personal conduct, in our families and neighbourhoods. Islam  was never meant to be an academic curiosity, fit only for the dusty bookshelves in libraries and museums…”

Managing Change Effectively

By Dr Husni Hammuda
“For better or for worse, Allah warns us in His Holy Book that Allah will never change the condition of a people until they start to change what is within themselves…” This is a clear warning that we are all responsible for improving or worsening our situation. Allah only helps those who patiently persevere in seeking His good pleasure…”

Islam and Original Sin

By Sheikh Abdul Hamid Lachporia
“In Islam, religion is not only a spiritual and intellectual necessity but also a social and universal need. It is not to bewilder man but to guide him. It is not to debase him but to elevate his moral nature. It is not to deprive him of anything useful, or to burden him, or to oppress his qualities but to open for him inexhaustible treasures of sound thinking and right action…”

Welcome to all the students

By Arshad Gamiet
“…if you take all the scientific theories and lay them side by side with the Quranic view of Creation. You will not find a simpler, more logical and rational explanation…”
